Every Sunday we celebrate an exciting church service especially for children - parallel to the adult service. Your child is in safe hands and can playfully discover the Christian faith in age-appropriate groups. We deal with topics from the Bible that show how we can live with Jesus today. Through songs, stories, creative activities and games, the children learn to live their faith in a very practical way. Your child is just right the way it is!
Every child is welcome in our children's church and is divided into the appropriate age group. Here your child will make friends and learn in an age-appropriate way what it means to live with Jesus and more about God and the Bible.
At GEC Heilbronn's children's church, we create a loving and safe environment in which every child can feel at home. Our aim is to enable children to live their faith in an age-appropriate way and to have their first experiences with God. We deal with biblical themes and show how we can live with Jesus today. Through worship times, input and prayer, the children learn to live their faith in a practical way. We give them space to discover the Holy Spirit and experience what this means for them. Laughing, learning and growing in faith - that's what we do!
When does the children's church take place? The children's church always runs parallel to the adult church service. This means you can enjoy the service in peace and quiet while your child is looked after in an age-appropriate way and discovers their faith.
Where do we check in and pick up the children? The check-in for all children is located on the upper floor. Pick-up varies depending on the group: your little sheep will be waiting for you in the group room on the upper floor. Meanwhile, the bears will be waiting for you in the bistro, and we will bring the older children (our eagles and pre-teens) directly back to you in the worship hall at the end of the service.
May I accompany my child? Of course! Especially if your schoolchild is attending for the first time, you are welcome to stay with them at the beginning. With the sheep and bears, parents usually accompany their children for the first few times until they feel comfortable on their own. This settling-in period can also take a little longer, especially with the little sheep - we are flexible!
Is there a room for babies and toddlers? Yes, for babies and very young children who are not yet in a fixed group, there is our cozy transfer room on the first floor at the end of the long corridor. Here you can follow the service with your child via transmission.
Our children's church is loved by families, and for good reason: over 65 children come to us every Sunday - a strong sign of trust. Our team is made up of experienced, lovingly trained staff who put their hearts into their work and create spaces where children are safe, can develop and experience God's love.
